What We Do

AVR, Inc. is a manufacturer's representative firm based in metro Atlanta, Georgia with AVR Distributing as our distribution division. AVR represents manufacturers in both the home A/V and 12-volt markets, a collection of lines that compliment each other and, together, offer our retailers a complete package of vendors who are focused on independent specialist retailers.

In a business climate where excess inventory can severely hamper a retailer's ability to make a profit, speedy delivery, good product availability, and a high level of service can make a huge difference in a retailer's bottom line. At AVR, we offer the best of both worlds - "just in time" delivery on small quantities of product; and the ability to take a dealer "direct" as the dealer's needs grow with increased volume and success.

Our History

AVR was established in 2002 by Joe Hanson, our President, after 30 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry.

Joe began working as a rep salesman for Forti-ausin Associates and Elrep Sales, after which he became a Regional Sales Manager with Panasonic's Technics division. He later started his own sales rep firm, Creative Marketing, in Atlanta, and joined Teal Marketing Associates, the (then) Kenwood representative firm covering the Southeastern U.S.

Joe became a partner with Teal and established the company's car stereo division. Upon the exit of his business partner in 2002, Joe was given the opportunity by Kenwood USA to establish a new sales rep firm for the Southeastern U.S. The many positive business relationships Joe had formed throughout his interesting career helped to form the staff and customer base for AVR, which has since grown to incorporate high-quality lines of home theater products and an e-commerce fulfillment division.

Joe's dedication to researching the latest technologies to meet consumer needs has resulted in what AVR has become - an always-growing, ever-evolving company that strives to be the best in the mobile and home electronics markets.
